What is AstriCon?

Have you caught the Asterisk bug? Would you like to know what the newest rage is with Asterisk? Or the hottest business application? Then AstriCon is the place you need to be! AstriCon is the official conference for the wildly popular Asterisk PBX and telephony platform. The conference includes a wealth of information whether you are getting started with Asterisk or have already discovered the power. AstriCon is also the meeting place for the Asterisk community, a diverse group of users, developers, entrepreneurs and other fans.

When and Where is AstriCon?

Join us for the fifth year of AstriCon! Taking place from September 23-25, 2008 at the Renaissance Glendale Hotel and Spa in Glendale, AZ. Surrounded by spas, restaurants, shopping and entertainment, you will not be disappointed with the gorgeous rooms and extra activities for when you are not immersed in Asterisk code.

What's new as AstriCon

Location! While we are returning to the Phoenix area, this year’s show is in a high rise facility next door to the Westgate Entertainment district. In Westgate, you will find 14 shops, 18 restaurants and various entertainments. The hotel itself is a gorgeous high rise attached to the convention center and has over 95,000 square feet of meeting space and 320 sleeping rooms!

Additionally, the conference itself has been re-organized. We've shortened the overall days while expanding our exhibit hall hours! The Code Zone will be open for most of the conference day as well.

What goes on at AstriCon?

The Conference
Our mission is to expand awareness and knowledge of Asterisk. With 3 days of conference material available, including pre-show, tutorial, tracks and general session, you won't be disappointed with the excellent amount of knowledge you will gain.

The Exhibition
Asterisk, more than any other open source project, has inspired the entrepreneurial spirit. Dozens of products have been based on the Asterisk code and hundreds of products and services have been created to expand on the power of Asterisk. The AstriCon exhibit hall brings together the leading products from a wide range of categories: endpoints (phones), gateway hardware (cards and standalone devices), software add-ons, embedded solutions and Internet telephony services.

The Meeting Place
Nowhere will you find a greater mix of individuals. From code gurus to venture capitalists to social activists, AstriCon brings together an astounding and vibrant mixture of perspectives, goals and outlooks. From organized group meetings, to all-night coding sessions in the Code Zone, AstriCon is the place to connect with the Asterisk Community.
