Resolution problems!

I've just installed Xubuntu 6.06 on my old laptop:P2,4ghdd,
192ram. Install went well but default resolution seems to be 800x600 so it does not fit my screen. This is my first install so can anyone help me. Many Thanks

This is going to be an issue with your screen card .. my "guess" would be that you're running either an Nvidia card or an ATI card .. in which case you need to install the accelerated graphics drivers.

However .. before you do this, upgrade to version 8.04 and you may find your problems will evaporate!
