Ok, we're going to need a little more information .. for example I'm not aware of anything called "Linux 2008"! Can you tell us which Linux distribution you are using (eg; Redhat, Fedora, Ubuntu...) and when you say "can't get the discs to run", what are you doing and at what point is it failing, and if applicable, what error is it giving ??

Mmm, not come across "linux xp" , however I'm relatively confident that any CD that comes with a wireless hub us not going to work with Linux. You will find there are two levels of support for wireless devices in Linux;

  • Standard wireless devices that are built into the Linux distribution, which means it will work without additional CD's
  • Newer experimental wireless devices which need you to download and fiddle with them before they're going to work. (not recommended)

However, as a rule, Windows software is typically not going to run on Linux, Windows hardware drivers are definitely not going to run.
