Linux & windows
Is it possible to copy disks from linux magazines onto usb flash drives, via windows, for transfer to linux machines? Do you need to know which version of Linux on your machine?
I have no disk drive on my Linux, just sd or usb.

Hi,
It would obviously depend on the particular CD and how it'd been designed / written to, however in principle the standard format used on CD's (ISO9660) is common to both Windows and Linux. So I would say generally "yes" and the type of Linux you have should be irrelevant to this ability - so long as you format the Flash disk as a standard DOS filesystem, most Linux's should be able to read it 'out of the box'.
